My daughter wanted a scooter for her birthday, but since we live in the country I didn’t see how a Razor would work. The Kent scooter with the larger bicycle wheels works great. She can go up and down the gravel driveway or ride in the grass with ease. The only problem I had was assembling the brakes so they would work properly. I had to keep reajusting them to get them to apply properly. Other then that it went together easily and she has really enjoyed it.

I bought two of these for my daughter as gifts when she was 8 y.o. and they were huge hit for her and her friends visiting for playdates. We have a gravel road so these big tires are perfect. She has a razor too but these Kents are universally more popular with all the kids. My husband put them together very quickly. One of the two scooters came missing a part but Amazon quickly shipped out a new scooter and we returned the scooter missing the parts smoothly/easily. My daughter is almost 5 feet tall now at 10.5 years old so these are now getting a bit short so I’ll soon be searching for a way to make them taller. They’re still very popular with her and all her friends though. My only wish is that the Kent Super Scooters were made a little more adjustable in order to accommodate someone over 5 feet tall. I think even HS and college kids ….and adults would use them if they could handle their heights….adult weight does not seem to be an issue though….I’ve stood on them fine.

    Great scooter for big kids!

A bit of a challenge for my husband to put the brakes together, but once assembled, this is a fantastic scooter. Our boys are very tall for their ages (5 & 7), and we wanted something they could love now and hopefully for the next few years. Both boys love this scooter, and even our older son, who is as tall as a 9-yr-old boy, could easily enjoy this for another several years. Very durable tires (we have had it now for 9 months) and frame. Would recommend highly!

I am very pleased with this product. I purchased 3 of them for my 3 boys whose age range from 10 to 13. They love them, they used to have razer scooters but dide not like them very much because they could’nt go off the road with them. The kent super scooter allowes them to go anywhere. Great product, great value, and easy to assemble. I would recommend this product to anyone.

We got this last xmas for our daughter (age 10 at the time). Great scooter. Much more durable and rugged than other brands. Has held up well with pretty consistent use over the past year.

Hubby had no problems putting it together. Does great on non-paved terrain (we have a huge yard and a long gravel driveway)

I just bought this scooter for my son’s birthday. The scooter is well made. What little assembly is done for you is a joke. The brake assembly is shoddy at best.If you are not familiar with hand brakes I highly recommend you bring this to a bike shop for adjustment.I wasn’t even lucky enough to have received all the necessary parts in the box.(Whoever assembled this just hand tightened the brakes and the brake pad fell out of the box during shipping.YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED, THIS SCOOTER IS FOR CHILDREN.If the box was sealed properly parts wouldn’t be falling out of the box!!!!!!!!

Very easy to assemble. The product is made of very durable material and can be used by adults as well. I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile now because my other kids love to bike in our huge backyard that has pavers. My eldest son however loves his scooter but is limited to the cemented part of our side yard or when we go out. This way when he got it he was able to scoot around regardless of the surface and it doesn’t even bother him a bit.

But for a 50 cent tool

Failure to include a small hexagonal tool to tighten the handle bars set me back several weeks in assemble. Even Ikea includes these types of tools for free. Unfortunately they were of a different size so I couldn’t use one of them. Consider your access to a Hexagonal tool bit set before you buy.

I’m still optimistic about my daughter enjoying it but right now it is taking up space and I still have the brakes to put on.

Just received the scooter today and was surprised at the quality. The white paint is actually pearl. It is very well made.

After reading the other reviews, I was also amazed that it only took about 20 minutes to assemble and about 5 minutes more to adjust the brakes. However, some people might need instructions on how to attach the cables to the brake levers.

After assembly, my husband just had to try it out and he loves it. So does my son.

Scooter arrived damaged and assembled improperly.

This seems like it should be a good product. Kent International, Inc. of New Jersey has chosen China as the country to obtain their cheap labor, and it shows.

Everything that was supposed to be pre-assembled was backwards, upside down or damaged. I have sufficient technical skill and all of the correct tools, so I was eventually able to assemble the entire scooter from the bottom-up. On top of the assembly and adjustment problems, the frame of the scooter was dented and scratched.

If you are interested in purchasing this scooter, I would recommend getting it at a local retail store already completely assembled.
