Good scooter for tween

I bought the E200 for my 12 year old daughter. She loves riding it around the neighborhood. It handles well and has a good battery life. My 10 year old son also rides it with ease. Only problem is going up some of our steep hills – they have to give it a little help with their foot, like a non-electric scooter, to make it up a big hill. Other than that, it’s been played with a LOT for almost a year now. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more in the neighborhood this Christmas – all the kids around here like taking turns riding it.
Loads of fun

Got this scooter for my son’s 9th birthday and he and his friends (and me!) have had loads of fun with it. Only problem was caused by him hitting a driveway bump and knocking the chain off it. It was easily corrected by a kind neighbor, not sure who would have repaired it otherwise – a bike shop? Anyway, he and his friends love it and now half the neighborhood is requesting one for their next birthday/Christmas.
rear tire problem
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I am a kid so this might not make any diffrents to you. I got the e200 for a end of the school year present. We had bought the e200 from Amazon. When we recived it every thing looked fine. We accembled it and the next day I got on it. It felt like it was going 15 mph. So I thought that was just as fast as it was going to go. When I twisted the throttle the rear end made a vibration noise, I thought it was just side affect and of cource it was.
About 15 charges into it, it stoped making the vibration noise but, now I notised that it was only holding its charge for about 30 min (average minutes it holds a charge of 1hr 30min) so I asked my dad to see what was going on with it. I had charged it and it was still going slow, he said my back tire was low. So we tried to air it up but wouldn’t hold the air. So my dad took it to a tire shop to get fixed. The tire shop said that the tire had to be replaced. The tube was not installed correctally at the factory. So we went on the enternet to order new tires. When we got the tires they were the wrong tires. So now were still waiting for the correct tires.
Over all great scooter but, you might want to get it two extra tires just in case.
Very Sturdy

I bought this for my older daughter (11) and purchased the E100 for my younger daugther. They really enjoy riding their scooters around the quiet streets in our neighborhood. The scooters hold a charge long enough for them to get their enjoyment for the day and then go on the charger over night. The E200 comes with a steering column that folds down making it easy to transport. The E100 does not have this option and is a bit harder to fit in a crowded car.
warning! very low clearance
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This is a good scooter and my son loves it but beware that the motor has a very low clearence and when ridden, at least in my neighborhood the driveways have a bit of a dip to them at the curb and the scooter bottoms out very easily. The problem is that after about 3 or 4 times, the magnets in the motor shatter which renders the scooter unusable. I”ve been through 3 and it wasn’t until I kept a close eye on my sons riding that I realized what was happening.. now shopping for a scooter with better clearance.. but it is a cool scooter… just make sure you don’t run up on any curbs..
Not as advertised
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I was anticipating a very positive experience for this scooter since it was the third one that I purchased. The first two were for my boys and this one was for my daughter. Unfortunately what I got was not what I bought. If you look at the picture, you can see that the scooter has an adjustment bracket on the handlebar. This allows you to raise and lower the handlebar so that it is comfortable for the rider. My other two have it. When the scooter arrived, Razor has changed the design (since confirmed directly with Razor) and the handlebar is a one piece item that cannot be adjusted. This makes it less comfortable (and therefore less safe) for the shorter rider. I suspect that the reason for the change is cost savings but don’t know that for a fact. Just makes sense that a single piece is less expensive than multiple parts. Anyway we are struggling through but I am disappointed and if you have a shorter child, be aware that they may be reaching up to drive this scooter.

We bought 2 E200 electric scooters for our 6 and 8 yr old daughters. They have enjoyed them a bunch. They have allowed the girls to come along with me while I go running.

this is a great product and my kiddo loves it. I have even ridden it and it is a blast. It arrived promptly as Amazon has always lived up to its excellent service.
Good Fun, Great Value

My 7 year old son loves this thing (yes it’s easy enough for a seven year old and no more dangerous than a bike). It does just what it claims: took about 20 minutes to assemble (just the steering column), goes about 12 mph, lasts about 40-45 minutes per charge, plug it in overnight to recharge. It even pulled me (200 lbs) although a bit slower and probably would drain in half the time. My son has even been up and down modest grades in our neighborhood. A kid next door has been riding his regularly for about a year (and the reason I got it for my son).
