Subject to Interferrence
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I used these headphones for about 2 years and really loved them. However, that all changed when I got an iPhone. These headphones pick up a lot of interference from cellphones and wifi networks, which can render them basically unusable. Overall they're great headphones, very comfortable, and create noise reduction. Other negatives are the battery holder is a bit bulky and there's entirely too much cable.

Wonderful item and compatitve price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this after I look people's review rating. This one is actually what I want. Love its quality, whatever sound and headphone. When you hold the headphone, it is very steady. Not like going to fall off anytime. ^_____________^

DO NOT BUY unless you can demo it for free
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Does the noise canceling feature work as advertised? Yes. How about when it's placed on your head and over your ears? NO!
The main problem with these headphones is that the earpieces do not create a seal around your ears. I had to press the ear pieces against my ear to notice the noise canceling function. Maybe I have a small or narrow head but without a good seal, these will not work properly.

I've had two pairs of these ...
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought my first pair of these and I only used them in airplanes & airports. They're great to have on the plane as the jet noise is reduced enough that you'll forget about it. I like the way the speakers will pivot 90 degrees to your ears so that you can quickly uncover an ear if you're asked a question. Other than that I found myself wishing I had a different pair. The wand-sensor has reversable clip but its too bulky and I never found a good way to run the cords.
I lost my first pair and had no intention of buying the same pair again, but before I could replace them I was given another pair as a gift. The 2nd pair was no better and I noticed the same annoying things I had with the first including a feedback that occurs during flight when when the plane begins to descend.
I'd rather spend more money on a better designed product.

Sennheiser PXC 250
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great overall value. The best set of headphones I have ever owned. I spent almost three times as much in the past for headphones that can't compare.

Sennheiser PXC 250 Headphones
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I travel to Asia about 6 times a year. I bring my brief case and one carry-on bag. So space is a premium to me. This is the second set of Sennheiser PXC 250 headphones I have bought. The first set just wore out after 3 years. These headphones come with a nice case that has an external pocket where I keep my ipod nano and a set of extra batteries. You can wear the case on your belt if you want. The noise canceling works, the sound quality is good, the battery life is excellent and the headphones still work even if the batteries are dead. The headphones, case and ipod in the outside case pocket makes a perfect travel set. I can and have fallen asleep with these headphones on. Sometimes, the only way I can fall asleep is with these headphones on.

The perfect travel headphones for me!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought the Sennheiser PXC 250 noise canceling headphones in December 2007 for my husband. We were going to be traveling a great deal and wanted headphones to use on airplanes. On Christmas morning I gave them to him and he gave me a Bose QuietComfort 2 acoustic noise cancelling pair! We both did research before selecting what each thought was the best noise canceling headphone factoring in many variables, portability, sound quality, comfort, noise canceling, etc. We ended up trading and here is why.
For me, the Sennheiser fits my head better and more comfortably. I can fall asleep, lying on them. My husband has a bigger head and the Bose are better for him. I like that I can turn my nose canceling on or off when needed so it is off in a quiet environment. The Bose noise cancelling is on all of the time. The buzz on the noise cancelling is louder on his than mine. I do not mind the battery unit on the cord. My husband has a more sensitive ear and claims that his Bose has a better sound. I like the smaller size and the fact mine fold; his comes in a larger, hard case that for me is too big for easy packing. I understand that the Sennheiser PXC 300 noise canceling headphones come in a case more like the Bose, and for this reason I am ordering another 250 to leave beside my bed while my first pair stays in my travel case. I use them in times of insomnia to listen to something or just on my head unplugged with the noise cancelling turned on to dampen my husband's loud snoring.
So you see, the best noise cancelling headphone depends on your own needs and your anatomy. If you can, try them on to see which feels best and sounds best to you. I highly recommend my Sennheiser PXC 250 pair.

Sound good/design bad + sometimes shocks?
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
These headphones are great for noise cancelling. I just wanted to warn people about the design. The battery pack is right in the middle of the cable so sitting at my desk I have to take the headphones off if I move my chair back at all. Sometimes I forget to do this and the pack falls off my desk, which has resulted in the clip for the batteries to break. Also, sometimes I'll get small electric shocks through the headphones. This hasn't happened with any other headphones that I've used.

Quiet air travel
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought these headphones when I was going to be traveling on a smaller airline which I knew would be noisy. These did what they promised, cut out the buzzing sound from the plane but I was still able to hear people talking. They were light weight and easy to use. A great value for the price.

Great Phones.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These phones are great. If you're looking for noise cancelling headphones, give these a try. The sound quality is excellent, they do a great job of blocking out ambient noise, and i got them referbed for $50. The only negatives are that they do not do a great job of handling a lot of bass (Hip-Hoppers beware) and there is definetly a limit to how loud they get. Overall, a great purchase.
