The best present for a grown kid!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my husband for Christmas, but couldn’t wait to give it to him… He has it up on a shelf in his “man room” and it looks awesome! You can press a button on the toys’ chest and it talks, but the one I bought has a tendency to talk when ever it feels like it! (which is hilarious!!!) The price was average but I’d pay it again!
THANKS!
Not anatomically correct
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Movie was a huge disappointment…as are apparently the toys. Where’s the swinging nut sack that played such a crucial role in the movie? And I’m sure Optimus Prime’s talking figure uses as many profanities as he did in the movie. Why does Hollywood have to ruin every good childhood memory I have and create bad ones for our children!?…(grumble grumble, stupid Michaely Bay)
Transformer Devastator
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My son absolutely loves this transformer! The only problem is the toy is made up of 6 different transformers, so when you assemble them all together, it’s difficult to keep it together and play with it too. My son has had a little trouble “clicking” all the parts together, but overall it’s a great toy!
Transformers that don’t transform
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Though the toy looks impressive when combined, the vehicles themselves don’t transform. Talk about dissappointing, considering that both in the movie and in the original Devestator, the individual vehicles transformed.
You have to buy the transformable vehicles individually, but they of course cannot combine to form anything.
If they could put the best of both worlds together, easily a 5 star rating, but since they haven’t, I can’t imagine why anyone would give it a 5.
Get yourself a used G1 Devastator on Ebay instead.

Wow. those are some cool construction vehicles. But wait, the vehicles don’t transform individually? and that big ugly thing is Devastator? Are you for real, Michael Bay? If Michael Bay hates the original story and characters so much, maybe he should just walk away and let someone else do it.
Please do yourself a favor. Buy Transformers:The Movie from 1985. watch it. then go on ebay and pick up the real Devastator. The Transformers – The Movie (20th Anniversary Special Edition)
Devastator is expensive, no doubt, but you get what you pay for.

I bought this as a birthday present for my nephew (10 years old), and he absolutely loves Devastator. I can’t blame him, either. Everything about Devastor is solid: Construction of the toys, the sound samples (in robot mode), the posibility and playablity of each vehicle, both on their own and when combined together. There’s enough room in the mouth (which will open wide when pushing/holding down a button) to stuff smaller autobots in there to meet their maker.
The only knocks against Devastator are the lack of paint details and Mixmaster – the cement mixer. In truck mode, he does not stop making noise. There’s some sort of motion/light/vibration sensor on him. A simple touch will send him into a frenzy of noises that gets old fast. Be prepared to set aside about 15 minutes or so removing Devastator from all of those dreaded twist-ties, also.
Overall, a bang up job by Hasbro. Just about anyone with an interest in Transformers will love this monstrosity!
Excellent!

This toy is a good representation of Devastator! The light and voice effects are great!
my bad expectations were devastated!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had heard about devastator from a lot of sources, but when I went to by him I still didn’t know what to expect.boy, was I in for a surprise!when I saw him I was astounded!he is HUGE!my favorite thing about him is his vortex grinder. I can completly fit a scout class figure in it! I can nearly fit a deluxe class figure in it. all in all,an awsowme figure that I would recommend to any one.
Not as bad as they say it is
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had been hearing a lot of bad things about Devastator when pics of him first got out, about an insane price tag and no robot modes, but he was the one I was looking forward to the most. I figured that I would find him and see for myself how bad he looked and if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t buy it. So I was at Toys R Us the other day and found the last one on the shelf and Devastator didn’t look that bad to me…only the price tag did haha. While he is not as big as I had expected (Rumors where he would be 2ft tall at least, but he’s a little over 1ft), its still pretty impressive to look at. When you open the box all the constructicons are already transformed into the limbs but are not connected and also a few parts like Scavengers’ scoop and Mixmasters’ truck cab, but all are easily connected. As in the movie Devastator is very top heavy and must be places in a hunchback or an on all-fours pose. He has and push button activated Vortex similer to the movie and His head expands a good five inchs or so and you can fit legends and scout class figures in there. The box says that transformation for him is a 4 and really I think hes been the easiest to transform out of all the transformers from ROTF! Pretty much its a turn here and pop these in and move that back motions when turning the Constructicons into vehicle mode. One thing that I really didn’t like is Mixmaster won’t ever shut up and there is no on-off switch and when he is transformed into a vehicle the slightest bump sends him off. All of them look great in vehicle mode exept High Tower as he is brightly colored compared to the other two yellow Constructicons. Paint details are minor as in they have none compared to the voyager and deluxe class Constructicons but I figure I’ll paint him myself. So in all he is a decent figure and his price isn’t for everybody but if your a fan of the movie Devastator you’ll like it.
Pros:
ITS DEVASTATOR!
Quick tranformation
Vortex gimmick is cool
In Robot mode he is good scale to legends class figures
Cons:
Price tag
Paint job could have been a lot better
Not very articulated
No wrecking balls
Mixmaster could have really used an on-off switch
